Travel Scholarship Programme
To facilitate wide-ranging participation at ASLM2016, ASLM offers the ASLM2016 Travel Scholarship Programme to laboratory medicine professionals.
Scholarships provide financial support, on a competitive basis, to professionals and students who have submitted an abstract and need external funding in order to attend the ASLM2016 conference.
Each scholarship covers costs related to conference registration, air travel, lodging, and daily per diem support for the exclusive purpose of attending ASLM2016 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Scholarships will be issued on a rolling basis.
Scholarship Programme Eligibility and Processes:
- Scholarships are awarded to attendees with accepted oral or poster abstracts.
- Once your abstract is accepted (notifications were sent on 11 July 2016), submit the scholarship application form (link above) (application includes an essay demonstrating financial need).
- An independent committee of global laboratory and clinical professionals will select scholarship awardees based upon predetermined selection criteria.
- Awardees must conduct 8 hours of volunteer service at ASLM2016.
